Take the express bus from the Hangzhou East Bus Station (6:30-17:30, every half an hour, taking 1 hour, price: 15–17 yuan).
There is a Zhejiang express bus from Hangzhou going directly to Wuzhen. (taking 1 hour 20 minutes, price: 20 yuan). The last bus back to Hangzhou from Wuzhen is at 5:30 pm.

Hangzhou private tour organised the high speed train ticket from Shanghai to hangzhou for us.The high speed train from Shanghai to Hangzhou was a great experience.Our tour guide was very knowledgeable,lots of insights on Hangzhou.Our guide stayed out of the busy tourist attractions, going to the actual farmers restaurant, with only chinese eating there,very fresh food! Then to the tea plantations we went to a small farm, no other tourists than ourselves. Then for the temple, he chose one no tourists go to. we were the only ones, was very interesting and we felt very lucky. Driver and car were excellent, a great way to visit Hangzhou with no stress and worries.We really want to see the impression westlake show and we will come back to hangzhou next time. Impression westlake show sets on the lake with high tech stage set up. It is one of the creations of famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou. The spectacle is a typical light and sound show and set in natural surroundings right on the lake. It is a beautiful / poetic show. We just loved it. The set is located along the shore next to souvenir boutiques /cafes. For Starbucks lovers there is one not far away. As the crowd dispersed, it was almost impossible to get a taxi. We had to use a black market car but I was ok at negotiating so price was reasonable. Problem should be less severe these days with didi taxi and uber.The employees were very welcoming.If you are in Hangzhou, don't miss it.

There are many buses from East Railway Station straight to the Qiandaohu island. And the buses you can catch leave at 16:30, 17:00, 17:55 and 19:15. It takes about 3hours and CNY73.You dont have to change the train time from Shanghai to Hnagzhou.Hope it will help. Thanks!

From Hangzhou Passenger Transport Central Station (Jiubao Passenger Transport) to Thousand islets lake:
7:00 - 18:20 with an interval of 30 - 50 minutes CNY 73 2 hours
From Hangzhou East Railway Highway Bus Station to Thousand islets lake:
7:20 - 19:15 with an interval of 30 - 70 minutes CNY 73 2.5 hours

We provide private transfer from the impression westlake show to the hangzhou train station after the show.And you can walk to the Shangri-La hotel to ask the hotel help you get a taxi to the train station after the show (Walking distance:5-6 minutes). The traffic is not good after the show, please book the train leaves for Shanghai after 22:00 if you watch the first show. Hope it will help!
