More than one million civilian workers spent about fourteen years to complete this most brilliant palace in China history. In the afternoon, drive about 6km to next imperial site - Temple of Heaven. The temple was constructed in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and was enlarged during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is the grandest cult architecture complex in the world and a masterpiece of the Chinese people created in ancient times. It covers 2,700,000 square meters (667 acres). Emperors of the two dynasties used to worship the heaven and pray for rich harvests, as the feudal emperors thought they were the son of the heaven.
It is also one of the most brilliant ancient architectural masterpieces in China. Today, it is a pleasant place for leisure stay of walking or sightseeing, also for exploration of local culture.

The primary buildings in the temple are the Altar of Prayer for Good Harvests in the north and Circular Mound Altar in the south. Sitting at the foot of Mt. Yan and occupying an area of more than 120 square kilometers (29,653 acres), it appears extremely spectacular. It was listed in the World Heritage List in 2003. Later, drive along Huangshan Expressway to Huangshan Mountain (1.5 hour-drive), Then change for the local green bus and continue to drive for about 15 minutes along the zigzag mountain road before you get to the bus station at Yungu where you will take the cable car from Yungu Station to the top of the mountain.
After checking into your hotel and lunch, you will visit the Brush Pen Peak, Which is located in front of the North Sea hotel, northeast of Yellow Mountain and close to the Bijia Peak. The elevation is 1,640 meters. A stone stood lifting and outstanding with a round bottom cuspate top, like a brush pen used for calligraphers.

Hongcun is a wonderful place to visit, originated during Song Dynasty (960-1276), is praised as the most beautiful village in China. It is famous as the ancient village in the Chinese painting. These two ancient villages are the most representative local-style residences in southern Anhui Province. Xidi was first built during the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD) and was originally called Xichuan (West River), because of the water courses flowing west through the village. With a history of over 900 years, Xidi Village is peaceful with a hidden charm to be discovered like in a fairy tale.
