I thoroughly recommend Hangzhou Private Tour to anyone visiting the Hangzhou region. I organised my tour at very short notice (the day before) and was perfectly looked after. I was staying in Shanghai and my trip planner Sam was extremely helpful in advising me the best way to get to Hangzhou from Shanghai for the tour.
My tour guide Tommy picked me up from the station and led me on a fantastic day tour of the town. The weather for the day was quite dreary which made for difficult viewing of the lake.
Due to the weather Tommy suggested some different places to visit which were fantastic. I really enjoyed the visiting to the Guo's villa, a reach people's house in the ancient china. Tommy's knowledge of the Hangzhou area was phenomenal!! His English is fantastic and he makes you feel completely comfortable on the tour.
It is extremely difficult to find English speaking people in this area but Hangzhou Private Tour caters to the English speaking market beautifully.

My husband and I visited Hangzhou for the first time on a weekend trip from Shanghai. David, our guide was very friendly, sociable. I have to been to China for many times already and have joined a lot of tours over there, so far, David is the one who I can said speaks very fluent English. He toured us around Hangzhou city, gave us some love stories surrounding the West Lake. We had a great boat ride going under canals which reminded us of Venice. We also went to a Tea plantations where they produced the best tea in China. He made sure that we were comfortable and not overly rushed throughout our tour.The highlight of the day's tour was lunch at a seafood market inside a supermarket owned by Jack Ma where we went and bought Live seafoods and have them cooked there. The cooking of the food was so delicious and cheap too. We were really happy that David was our guide. He is such a great guide, we would love to have him again in our future tour in Hangzhou.

We had a full day tour with Hangzhou Private Tour. Our guide David picked us up from the train station, then took us on a tour of West Lake before heading into the countryside to visit a tea plantation and a bamboo forest. The tea plantation included tasting and an information session which was interesting.
The area is very beautiful and having a guide made it easier to see a lot on a short trip – we had just one day.
On the tour we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a beautiful restaurant in front of the tea mountain where I had the best braised chicken I have ever eaten. My wife is a vegetarian and David helped liaise with the restaurant to ensure she too had great food.
We extended our tour to include seeing the Impressions of the Lake show and this is a must do if you have an evening spare. David organised the tickets for us and took us to and from the show. Would definitely recommend David and Hangzhou Private Tour to anyone visiting this lovely city.

Excellent Hangzhou trip organized by China Private Tour. The schedule she prepared included visits to very beautiful and equally important places from historical point of view. Our guide Sharon had also the kindness to insert in the schedule whatever we asked her. She was also taking care of us during the whole trip and arranged on the spot any matter that arose.She also showed to us the best aspects of Hangzhou and took us to a very good local restaurant. When we said goodbye at train station, she was already our friend.Unfortunately, I was not keen to be informed of his family name. Whilst my partner was attending a conference, I decided to book this tour to occupy my time and learn more about Hangzhou.
